Special exhibitions are mounted on a regular basis, covering subjects as diverse as the annual Newland's Day Procession, local anniversaries, and subjects of general interest, such as toys.

The Museum organises a public lecture each year - details can be obtained from the Museum.

Educational visits are welcome, and can be guided by a qualified teacher.
